Disclaimer: Sometimes imitation is the best form of flattery. I am writing today’s post in this spirit. It is meant to be funny. 🙂
It’s no secret that I heart Stephanie Lloyd. (@StephanieALLoyd on Twitter). She is a well known recruiter from Atlanta, passionate about people, very knowledgeable about social media, and an all around great girl. But recently, she did something to make me pause. To examine how I really feel about her.
Yesterday, Stephanie posted ‘Why I (Now) Love Comcast, Part I’ on her blog. I, like the thousands of her other readers, read every word. We all know from following her on Twitter that she has had a soap opera worthy relationship with Comcast. There have been highs, lows, twists, turns, betrayals, and more. So, to have her post that she now loves them was very intriguing.
I quickly read the post, then once again. I hung on every word. I felt as if I was “with” her there in her car as she drove 20 miles to Marietta, GA to pick up the new modem. Would it work? What would happen? It didn’t work! Back on the phone. Back in the car. It was excruciating. I began to sweat. My heart was racing. What would happen? How would it end?
Well, here’s how it ended:
“In Part II I will share with you what happened when Frank stumbled upon this blog post (I am sure he was so thrilled to find it) and what he and his team have done to turn me in to a raving fan and highly enthusiastic Comcast customer.”
WHAT?!?! You MUST be kidding me! It’s late at night and I’m dying to know how it ends. My brain began racing. What should I do? I know, I’ll log onto Twitter. Sure enough, there was Stephanie.
Me: @StephanieALloyd Just read your Comcast Part I post and CANNOT wait for part 2.
Her: @TrishMcFarlane oh how funny! tomorrow is insane so can’t promise but will do my best to get it up by Friday 😉
Me: @StephanieALloyd Ahhhhhh…..keeping me in suspense! I may just blog about my frustration with you. LOL
Her: @TrishMcFarlane LOL! go for it, my friend. (that is so darn funny)
Me: @StephanieALloyd I may just do it to be silly 🙂
Her: you totally should. that is absolutely hilarious.
So, there you have it my friends. Now we’ll all just have to go to Stephanie’s blog (Radiant Veracity) to find out how it all ends and why Stephanie hearts Comcast.
As a final note, a BIG thanks to Stephanie for being a good sport!
