I can’t write this morning.

I woke up from a bad dream.  I usually don’t remember my dreams, but today I did and it’s one of those that hangs there and lingers in my mind as I shake the slumber from my sleepy head.  Here’s what happened….

I was floating on a river and suddenly a huge brown bear surfaced.  He began chasing me.  I was frantic and ran out of the water, up a hill, and toward a house.  He was right on my heels at first, but I eventually outran him.  The next thing I know, I’m in the house with my family and spot a tornado outside the window.  It was headed our direction.  I grab my daughter and my mother and suddenly we are swept out the window and up into the funnel.  We’re screaming and hanging on to each other.  Finally, we’re set gently back down in a field.

Then my alarm went off.

I don’t know what to make of this, or even if it means something.  What do you think?  Now’s your chance to play dream analyst or psychologist and tell me.  What is the dream telling me?  Do you remember your dreams and if so, do you think it has anything to do with your waking life?
